Matthias holds a degree in Physics from the University Erlangen-Nürnberg and conducted research at the Max-Planck-Institute for Biophysical Chemistry in Göttingen. Following this, he spent three years in Ontario, Canada, until 2009. In late 2009, Matthias commenced his career in the intellectual property sector.

With over a decade of professional experience, Matthias has honed his expertise in patent drafting and prosecution across a spectrum of disciplines, including chemical engineering, software, and organic chemistry. He actively engages in intellectual property consulting, undertaking responsibilities such as conducting searches, drafting patent applications, responding to office actions, managing patent invalidation procedures and evaluating infringement risks.
